Are you fed up with skin treatments that promise the world and deliver very little? You'll be glad you're reading this, as here's a treatment that blitzes skin in just 30 minutes...
Don't just take our word for it - here's what a *rubywaxx* customer told us about her treatment:
(Want to know more about her experience? Then read her diary on Facebook.)
Aspect A-Peeling Face Treatment FAQs - here's what you need to know What kind of treatment is the Aspect A-Peeling Face Treatment? It is a salicylic acid skin peel - but please don't be put off by the name, it's not as bad as it sounds! That's why we call it "A-Peeling" (as in "appealing"). How does it work? Salicylic acid skin peels remove the outer layers of skin without damaging the layers underneath: these are forced to regenerate. This gives smoother, softer, plumper skin which softens fine lines and reduces sun damage. It's also great for younger but tired skin and acne. How should I prepare for my treatment? 2 weeks prior to your skin peel treatment stop, discontinue or do not have the following treatments: 1. Waxing of any areas to be treated by your peel. 2. Depilatory use in any treated area. 3. Electrolysis of any treatment area. 4. IPL hair removal treatments. 5. Sun exposure to the area to be treated. (Hint: use SPF30 if you do need to be outside.) 6. Chemical treatments of any kind including any alpha hydroxy acid treatments (AHA). 7. Hair colour or chemical treatments of any type. What can I expect during the treatment?
Your *rubywaxx* therapist will make sure you're comfortable - and even clients who claim to have low pain thresholds have been fine! So just lie back and relax - you're in good hands! What do I have to do after the treatment? Here's what you need to know: 1. Your recovery time will be influenced by the type of skin peel treatment you've received and your individual skin's response. *rubywaxx* will discuss with you the individual time frame you should expect. 2. Sun exposure: avoid direct sun for 5-10 days. 3. Waxing/hair removal: avoid for 14 days. 4. Facial treatments: avoid for 14 days. 5. Exercise: avoid for 24 hours (avoid getting heated). 6. DO NOT PICK AT SKIN!! 7. No exfoliating products for 5 days. 8. Increase your water intake to include AT LEAST 8 glasses a day. 9. Sun block is mandatory and should be reapplied every 2 hours. 10. Do not use wash cloths, or any other type of cloth on skin. Apply cleansers to clean hands. 11. If you have any side effects or complications please contact the *rubywaxx* therapist who administered your treatment. Contact details are at the bottom of this web page. Are there any side effects? Is there any down time? There is no real downtime with the Aspect A-peeling Face Treatment. Immediately after the skin peel treatment, your face may be a little pink or red, but not so much that you will get stared at! 1-2 days after your treatment, you skin may or may not peel or flake. This completely depends on your skin type, and it is NOT an indication as to whether your treatment has worked or not. In very rare cases, some of the following side effects or complications can occur. 1. Discomfort. 2. Redness and swelling. 3. Hyper pigmentation. 4. Itching or irritation. 5. Skin peeling or flaking for up to 14 days after the procedure. 6. Infection. 7. Scarring. 8. Acne breakouts. If any of these happen to you, please contact the *rubywaxx* therapist who administered your treatment for advice. Contact details are at the bottom of this web page. It sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if this is for me, or if another kind of treatment would be better. How can I decide?
